Windows Defender Security Center Overview

As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, Windows Defender Security Center is a security application that comes bundled with Windows 10 operating system. It has since been renamed to "Windows Security." This application is designed to provide a centralized hub for various security features and settings on your Windows device.

Here are some key features and components that were part of Windows Defender Security Center (now Windows Security):

1. Virus & Threat Protection: This section includes antivirus and threat protection settings. It allows you to run scans, view scan history, and manage threat detection settings.

2. Device Performance & Health: This area provides information about your device's overall health, including Windows Update status and other system-related issues.

3. Firewall & Network Protection: This section allows you to manage Windows Firewall settings and view information about your network connections.

4. App & Browser Control: Here, you can configure settings related to SmartScreen, which helps protect your device from malicious apps and websites.

5. Device Security: This section provides information about the security status of key device features, such as BitLocker and Secure Boot.

6. Family Options: This area is designed for parental controls, allowing you to manage and monitor your child's online activity.

Keep in mind that Microsoft may have updated Windows Security or introduced new features since my last knowledge update. To access Windows Security, you can typically find it in the Windows Settings under "Update & Security" and then "Windows Security."
